The China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) held a meeting to discuss the research and development of the standard system of sci-tech volunteer service on February 8, 2023.

CAST holds a meeting to discuss the research and development of the standard system of sci-tech volunteer service on February 8, 2023.

This is an important step for CAST to implement the principle of "Perfect volunteer service system and work system" raised by the 20th CPC National Congress.

Experts from the volunteer service promotion center of the Publicity Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), the volunteer service guidance center of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Youth League (CCYL), the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) and other relevant units were invited to contribute ideas and  suggestions for formulating the standard system.

The standard system is expected to better mobilize Chinese sci-tech professionals to participate in a variety of volunteer service programs initiated by CAST and other state organs to channel sci-tech resources to local levels, help enterprises overcome difficulties in production and serve Chinese modernization.
